9th Class Smart Syllabus Released – Pecta Big Update

Big announcement from Punjab Education Authority
The Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA) has issued an important notification on October 24, 2025, according to which the new Smart Syllabus 2026 has been implemented for Grade 9. This decision was taken in the seventh Academic Committee meeting of PECTAA held on October 23, 2025 , which has been formally approved.
What is included in this notification?
According to the notification, the Smart Syllabus (Accelerated Learning Programme – ALP) , deleted topics , exercise questions , pairing schemes and model papers 2026 have been finalized. All this material will be used for the Grade 9 Annual Examination 2026.
The goal of Smart Syllabus is to make the curriculum simple, concise, and effective for students so that they can prepare better in less time.
Implementation across Punjab
This new syllabus and pairing scheme will be implemented uniformly in all public and private educational institutions across Punjab .
The aim of this decision is to bring all students to the same standard so that examinations can be conducted in a fair and balanced manner.
Instructions to relevant institutions
As per the notification number PECTAA/C&C Unit/2025/325 issued by PECTAA , this notification has been sent to all relevant departments, boards and institutions.
These include:
- Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen (PBCC)
- Various BISE Chairman (Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha and DG Khan)
- Punjab Education Foundation (PEF)
- Punjab Danish Schools Authority
- Punjab Education Initiatives Management Authority (PEIMA)
It has also been directed that the Smart Syllabus, Pairing Schemes and Model Papers be uploaded immediately on the official website of PECTAA so that all schools can access them in a timely mGood news for students
